Template Messages

The Template Messages report shows how each of your WhatsApp templates is performing — which templates get the most engagement, which ones fail, and how contacts interact with them. Use this report to identify your best-performing templates and improve or retire underperforming ones.

1. Go to Reports → Message Analytics → Template Messages
2. Set a date range (e.g., Last 30 Days)
3. Capture the stats cards and the template table

Summary cards

Seven cards summarize the overall template message performance:

All columns are sortable. Click any template row to see the detailed breakdown.


Template detail view

Click a template to see a contact-level breakdown of messages sent with that template.

Template preview

A collapsible section at the top shows the template details — the header, body, footer, and buttons — so you can reference what the template looks like while reviewing its performance.

Click Apply to update the report, or Reset to return to defaults.


Export

Click the Export button to download the report as an Excel file. The export includes summary cards and the full template table.


Tips

  • Compare template performance — Sort by Read or Replied to find which templates drive the most engagement
  • Check failure reasons — In the detail view, the "Failed Reasons" column tells you exactly why messages failed for specific contacts
  • Filter by template — Use the template filter to focus on a specific template's performance over time
  • Review regularly — Templates that performed well last month may not perform as well this month — check trends periodically
  • Retire poor performers — If a template consistently has low read or reply rates, consider updating its content or replacing it
