The Panels

Channel Selection

Before setting up contacts, select the messaging channel for your broadcast. Three channel buttons appear as colored pills at the top:

ChannelButton colorDescription
WhatsAppGreenSend WhatsApp template messages to phone number-based contacts
MessengerBlueSend text or structured messages to contacts on your connected Facebook pages
InstagramPink/purpleSend text or structured messages to contacts on your connected Instagram accounts

Click a channel button to select it. The channel you select determines:

  • Which contacts appear in Panel 1
  • Which message options appear in Panel 2 (WhatsApp uses templates; Messenger/Instagram use text or structured messages)
  • Which recipient methods are available (CSV and Direct Numbers are WhatsApp-only)
warning

Changing the channel resets everything — your contact selection, template/message configuration, and preview are all cleared. Select your channel first before filling in other panels.

Panel 1: Contact Setup (Blue)

This is where you choose who will receive your message. The panel has a blue left border and a contacts icon.

The available recipient methods depend on the selected channel:

WhatsApp — Three methods

MethodDescription
Select RecipientsPick individual contacts or use filters (group, location, custom fields)
Import CSVUpload a CSV file with phone numbers and names
Direct NumbersType phone numbers directly into a text area

Messenger / Instagram — One method

MethodDescription
Select RecipientsPick individual contacts or use filters. If you have multiple pages, a page selector appears first — choose which Facebook Page or Instagram account to send from

Import CSV and Direct Numbers are only available for WhatsApp broadcasts. Messenger and Instagram contacts must be selected from your existing contact list.

WhatsApp — Template & Parameters

  • Select an approved WhatsApp template
  • Fill in any variable values (like customer name, order number)
  • Upload media if the template requires it
  • Configure button details if needed
  • Configure Flow data exchange (if the template uses a WhatsApp Flow)

Messenger / Instagram — Message Composition

Choose between two message types:

TypeDescription
Text MessageA plain text message (up to 2,000 characters) with an optional media attachment (image, video, audio, or document)
Structured MessageAn interactive message — either a Button Template (text with up to 3 action buttons) or a Generic Template (up to 10 cards with images, titles, subtitles, and buttons)

Panel Status Indicators

Each panel shows a status icon in its header:

IconMeaning
Green checkmarkThis step is complete and ready
Orange warningThis step needs attention — something is missing

Both panels must show a green checkmark before you can send your message.

Mobile View

On smaller screens, the form and preview don't fit side by side. Use the toggle button in the top-right corner to switch between:

  • Form view (edit icon) — Fill in your details
  • Preview view (eye icon) — See how the message will look

A floating Send button also appears at the bottom right on mobile for quick access.
