Custom Fields

What are Custom Fields?

Custom Fields let you extend the standard contact information with fields specific to your business. While every contact has built-in fields like name, phone number, and email, Custom Fields let you add your own — like "Membership Tier", "Preferred Language", "Company Size", or anything else your business needs to track.

Think of it as building your own contact form — you define the fields, set their types and rules, and they automatically appear on every contact record.

Field Types

Custom Fields support 10 different field types to match your data needs:

Where do Custom Fields appear?

Custom Fields are used in several places across the portal:

Contact formsCustom fields appear at the bottom of the create/edit contact form
Compose Message filtersFields with "Show in Filters" enabled can be used to filter recipients in Compose Message
Drip CampaignsFields with "Show in Filters" enabled can be used as audience filters in drip campaigns

How to get there

  1. Log in to the portal
  2. In the left sidebar, click Custom Fields

Key features

  • Create fields with 10 different types to match any data need
  • Validation rules — set minimum/maximum values, text length, and regex patterns
  • Required fields — make certain fields mandatory on contact forms
  • Show in Filters — expose fields as filter options in Compose Message and Drip Campaigns
  • Drag & drop reordering — arrange fields in the order you want them to appear
  • Activate/Deactivate — toggle fields on and off without deleting data
Who can manage Custom Fields?

Custom Fields management is typically restricted to administrators. If you don't see the Custom Fields option in the sidebar, contact your administrator.
